Marc Levitt
Marc joined the Byrd Center staff in January of 2010 after completing a M.A. program in Archives and Records Management at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He did his undergraduate work at Michigan State University, where he majored in Political Science Pre-Law. He then attended Villanova University, where he was awarded an M. A. in History. His interest in archives began with his employment at the Philadelphia Archdiocese Historical Research Center while attending Villanova University. During his program at Michigan, Marc was fortunate enough to work at several interesting archives including the Special Collections at the University of Chicago, the National Museum of the American Indian Archives at the Smithsonian, and most recently the National Archives where he became fascinated with Congressional records at the Center for Legislative Archives. He is a member of the Society of American Archivists, the American Association of Museums, the American Library Association, and other professional organizations.
