Each year, the Association of Centers for the Study of Congress (ACSC) award a scholarship to attend the Congressional Papers Roundtable at the annual meeting of the Society of American Archivists (SAA).
This year’s award recipient is Marc Levitt, the Byrd Center’s archivist.
At the 2012 SAA meeting, Marc will particularly focus on the panels involving the integration of digital records (including born-digital) with the paper records of archival collections. This will be especially relevant as the Center’s staff continues processing more than 3,000 cubic feet of textual materials and the 1 million electronic records received from Senator Byrd’s four offices.
