----Guitarist Robert Shafer is a two-time winner of the National Flatpicking Championship, with a knack for reinventing old favorites and crafting an impressive collection of original bluegrass songs. Robert has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, Mountain Stage, BBC and has worked with many well known artists including Mark O'Connor, Mike Snider, Kenny Baker, Josh Graves and many others. Robert is also an amazing electric guitarist. Robert's influences range from flatpicking pioneer Doc Watson to the legendary rockabilly guitarist, Danny Gatton. Robert currently resides near Charleston, WV.

Karen and Bill Rice have graciously offered their beautiful home as the setting for our fundraiser. We will enjoy the performances of our musical artists and poet laureate and the barbeque in view of the historic Patterson's Mill, a three-story stone mill along Tuscarora Creek, built in 1765.
Ample parking is available close to the fundraiser location. Address and directions will be provided to ticket holders. |
