DAY OF GIVING, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19, 2025—One Day Only!
The Robert C. Byrd Center is pleased to be a participant in Shepherd University’s Day of Giving—an important one-day campaign for donations. Please help us make this day a success for the University and for the mission of the Byrd Center to advance representative democracy by promoting a better understanding of the United States Congress and the Constitution through programs and research that engage citizens. Your donations are an investment in the programs of the Center, the maintenance of its important archival collections, and to support Shepherd student interns, who gain valuable first-hand experience working in a major congressional archive. To Give Online Click here Go to SHEPHERD EXCELLENCE and select Robert C. Byrd Center from the dropdown menu. The Byrd Center houses the personal papers of five members of the United States Congress from West Virginia in its extensive archives. These collections offer rich resources for exploring national and international events of the Cold War era through the turn of the twenty-first century as well as preserving the voices of millions of Appalachians through their correspondence with their elected representatives.
