The Byrd Center COVID-19 Response Policy
Updated: August 16, 2021
In accordance with Shepherd University policy effective August 12, 2021, all staff and visitors to the Byrd Center are required to wear face coverings (covering both the mouth and nose) in public areas of our facility, regardless of vaccination status.
We are accepting reservation requests for use of the Byrd Center's public meeting spaces (Multi-Purpose Room, Room 165, Room 164, and the Auditorium). However, please be aware that if Shepherd University policies change regarding social distancing or room occupancy limitations, we may not be able to honor your reservation if the event will exceed those restrictions.
It is your responsibility as an event manager using Byrd Center facilities to ensure that your participants are wearing face coverings while they are inside our building.
Please check back to this page periodically as we update our COVID-19 policy. Continue to do your part in practicing social distancing, washing your hands frequently, and following the guidelines of the CDC.
