Help the Byrd Center

The Byrd Center advances representative democracy.

The Byrd Center depends on robust public support.

The Byrd Center needs your help  in these unprecedented times.
Senator Robert C. Byrd believed that an informed populace is the foundation of a healthy democracy.  The Robert C. Byrd Center for Congressional History and Education carries on Senator Byrd’s legacy by promoting a better understanding of Congress, the Constitution, and representative democracy through programs and research that engage citizens. Byrd Center programs arm citizens with the vital knowledge necessary to ensure that our grand experiment in representative government of, for, and by the people endures.
Act now to help ensure the Byrd Center’s vital work to strengthen American democracy continues.
While the Byrd Center’s offices remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our work continues. Byrd Center staff are shifting more educational programs and resources online, but the pandemic has dramatically limited our ability to raise the funds necessary for the continued operation of the center. We need your support at this critical moment to ensure that the Byrd Center emerges stronger from this difficult time.

Please consider making a gift that will allow us to continue advancing representative democracy.
DONATE TODAY
Our nation and our world face a significant challenge in recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, but as Senator Byrd believed, we enter uncharted waters with much more security when we employ the examples from history to inform our decisions.

With Great Appreciation,

James J. Wyatt
Director
