When visitors enter the Advanced Technology Center campus, they are able to view the work taking place in the labs while also learning about the history of manufacturing and industry in West Virginia. A display case in the lobby holds unique artifacts of the state’s industrial history. As you walk down the hall and observe the activity in classrooms and labs, one can see how this institution represents Senator Byrd’s vision for West Virginia's future where students are trained in the latest technologies which will support, improve, and diversify the state's economy. The Byrd exhibit is prominently displayed at the heart of the center in a large conference room along the main hall. Visitors are greeted by the reproduced portrait of the senator as they enter the exhibit space. Pierpont Community and Technical College plans to host a reception for the exhibit on Wednesday, January 25th at 2:00 pm. We encourage all visitors to leave their feedback on cards provided near the entrance to the exhibit. Your comments and suggestions are very helpful as we continue our journey with the Byrd traveling exhibit!
